Receipt Recording

Record every waste receipt at the weighbridge. Capture carrier details, EWC codes, and weights. Validate locally. Submit to Defra. Export PDFs for audits.

What You Record

Every receipt captures the same core data: who delivered it (carrier), what it is (waste items), how much (weight), and when (date/time). DigitalWTN validates this before submission to Defra.

πŸ“‹ Carrier Information

Organisation name, registration number (or reason for none), vehicle details, address and postcode.

♻️ Waste Items (1-5 per receipt)

EWC codes (1-5 per item), description, physical form, container count/type, weight (amount, unit, estimate flag).

🏭 Receiver Site

Pre-filled with your site details, permit number, and address. No repeated data entry.

πŸ“ Special Handling Notes

Optional field for non-conformance notes, weighbridge reference, or site-specific details.

Validation Before Submission

Local validation catches errors before they reach Defra. No failed submissions. No compliance risk.

Automatic Validation Checks:

  • βœ… EWC code format and validity
  • βœ… Carrier registration number format (UK or Irish)
  • βœ… Required fields for hazardous waste (if applicable)
  • βœ… POPs requirements (if applicable)
  • βœ… Weight and container data consistency

Hazardous Waste Receipts

When you select a hazardous EWC code, additional fields appear automatically. Conditional UIβ€”only show what's required.

Required for Hazardous Waste:

  • ⚠️ HP codes (hazard properties)
  • ⚠️ Consignment code OR reason for none
  • ⚠️ Source of components (for hazardous or POPs waste)
  • ⚠️ POP codes (if source is guidance/testing)

Non-hazardous receipts skip these fields. Simple.
